Park the car and enjoy the Warrandyte Riverside Market
The Warrandyte Riverside Market is one of our favorite things do on the weekend. Warrandyte is not far from where we live and is a beautiful bushy place to go for a walk. We normally get there early as trying to get a park seems to get harder as the day goes on. You need to have some patience and keep an eye out for other people leaving. We have had times where we have got a park straight away, and other times like to today where we waited and waited and finally got a park after 15 minutes.
When is the Warrandyte Riverside Market on?
The market is held on the first Saturday of the month (except January or when there is a code red fire warning) along the banks of the Yarra River from 8am to 1pm.
There is a variety of stalls that does change from month to month. You will find plants, cut flowers, fresh produce, food stalls ( including community stalls selling hamburgers and other yummy foods), home made cakes, coffee stalls, crafts, and buskers.

There are plenty of plant stalls selling the current season seedlings, of herbs, flowers, trees in all shapes and sizes.
Food and fresh produce
There are plenty of food options at the Warrandyte Riverside Market. Our favorite is Harry Hoo and we always have a dim sim. It is one of the reasons we go to the market and I remember a couple of months ago they didn’t show up and we walked up and down looking for Harry Hoo. It was so disappointing at the time however makes it more enjoyable when they are there.
A couple of community run places sell hamburgers, sausage in bread, and drinks. There are meat pie stalls, twirly potato sticks, gozleme, and coffee vans.
Fresh produce stalls include avocado’s, berries – depending on the season, pink lady apples, oranges, and mixed vege stalls.
The Warrandyte Riverside Market is a great place to visit, have something to eat, get some gifts for Birthdays or special occasions. It is set in such a beautiful location in the bush at Stiggants Reserve, Yarra River.
Dogs are welcome too!
If you want to take your dog to the Warrandyte Market you can. There are so many other dogs there from them to meet they will love it!
