Woodside Beach on a Perfect Sunny Day

Blue Sky Day at Woodside Beach

What a Beautiful day to go to Woodside Beach ( unlike the other day we visited Woodside beach). It’s what I refer to as  “Blue Sky Day“.  Woodside Beach is close to the starting point of the Ninety Mile Beach which starts at Port Albert and goes through to Lakes Entrance.  Woodside Beach Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beach making it safe to swim in between their flags. It was still a bit windy like the overcast day but with the sun out it was lovely.

Woodside beach is about a 40 minute drive from where we were staying in the Tarra Valley. It is a straight boring drive on well made roads through farming land with lots of green grass and  cows to see.

Yarram for lunch at bakery – Outside with Dogs.

Dave loves his meat pies and whenever we go away he likes to try one at the local bakery. I like to have a chocolate milkshake and a nibble of his sausage roll ( more like half).

Pie and Sausage Roll at Yarram Bakery. ( Dogs sitting under the table)

We sat out on the main street under some umbrellas with the dogs sitting underneath the table. David had a pepper and steak pie and enjoyed the pie (I always asks what he thinks and he rated it a 7 out of 10).

I enjoyed my milkshake and sausage roll. ( just a nibble)

Met some new friends at the off-leash area.

We drove back to where we were staying and took the dogs for another run around the off- leash areas of the park. We met some other dogs and David made a new friend called Lucy. She has to be one of the most friendly dogs we have every come across and later found out from the owner that Lucy works at the Royal Childrens Hospital and makes sick kids happy.

Dinner..

A hamburger, mushrooms, onions, bacon and egg cooked on the BBQ was dinner tonight.
